The Out of City Gym is the seventh Gym in Rijon. It is located in Route 57 (Brown/Prism) or Equality River (Rijon Adventures), and its exact name changes depending on the game, as does its leader and specialty type.

The Gym is referred to as the "Out of City---- Pokémon GYM" on the interior podiums in Brown version.
It is located in the south-east of the route, and requires Surf to access (whether via Castro Forest in the north or Route 56 in the west).
Inside, the gym is laid out very similarly to the Cinnabar gym in Red, Blue, and Yellow. To progress, the player needs to open the door to each room, which can be done by either correctly answering the quiz machine's question, or by battling the trainer.

Incorrectly answering a question will automatically start a battle with the trainer. If a room's door is opened, the player will still be able to battle the trainer or answer the question (whichever they did not do before) if they choose to.
